Tales by the Sea makes the front page of Destin Log!

Editor's note: Tales by the Sea is delighted to be particpating in this worthy cause. Please come support our friends at Frill Seekers Gifts for this event.(from the Destin Log newspaper)

From grief, a party in pink is born (PHOTOS)

Heidi LoCicero, co-owner of Frill Seekers Gifts in the Village of Baytowne Wharf, is channeling grief into productivity by throwing a Tinkled Pink Party at Graffiti’s in Sandestin on Thursday.

LoCicero lost her mother-in-law to breast cancer about five months ago. Her daughter Peyton, 16, who is a member of the Fort Walton Beach High School Stars dance team, also recently lost her coach, Charlotte Dry, to the disease.

“In the process of grieving and trying to figure out why bad things happen, we realized that we could channel that sadness into building a really great event,” LoCicero said. “It has been a hard year for the family, but we just explained to the children that we can make a difference.”

The mother-daughter team have been working together, in association with the Vera Bradley Breast Cancer Foundation, to plan the event. According to LoCicero, she had expected the preparations to take longer, but the response from the community was so great that it came together in just a few months.

Graffiti’s offered to provide a location for the party and lunch for the ladies. And several local businesses, including Aloha Surf Company, The Village Boutique, M Cline Jewelry, CoCo & Co., Mermaids Boutique, Tales by the Sea and Bark Avenue, have donated items for the fashion show and silent auction.

“The local community immediately got behind it,” LoCicero said. “It has really been heartwarming to see that even in bad times people still want to do something good.”
The event will take place at 11:30 a.m. on Oct. 8 and will celebrate survivors of breast cancer and honor the memory of the women who have died from the disease. LoCicero said the event is an opportunity for ladies from the community to get together and relax while raising money for the Vera Bradley Breast Cancer Foundation.

For tickets, which are $20 and include lunch, door prize entry and the fashion show, contact Frill Seekers Gifts at (850) 267-4438. Attendees are encouraged to don their favorite hats and wear something pink.

“Come for two hours and spend some time with your girlfriends,” LoCicero said. “It’s going to be a fun, casual event that will have a big impact.”

Lollia makes the magazines...again!

Addiction: an uncontrollable compulsion to repeat a behavior

The perception that all addictions are bad, is just plain wrong! Take the case of our staff addiction to LOLLIA perfume...particularly the fragrance WISH.

We are addicted to this scrumptious blend of delightful, flirty fragrance. One spray is all it takes to make us breathe in deeply and sigh loudly with content. It's just that good. And harmless!

WISH by Lollia was recently featured in Tea Time magazine. We're certain that their editors are just like us...addicted. It's not a crime. It's not an issue.

It's heaven...in a bottle...just a WISH.

Order one bottle today and join the rank of the happily addicted to LOLLIA group. We meet daily at Tales by the Sea in Sandestin's Baytowne Wharf. Join us...won't you? We'll bring the tea!

Yes! Tales by the Sea does deliver gift baskets! We just finished this one for our favorite sales person at the Sandestin Hilton.

Making a big impression is what it's all about...right? Well, our favorite salesperson at Sandestin's Hilton, Pamm Scheyd, knows what it takes. She books more groups and conventions at the beach than anyone we've ever seen. She caters to her clients above and beyond!

Our favorite part about working for Pamm is that she loves spoiling people. Today, she ordered a welcome basket for a client and let the Tales by the Sea team deliver it right to her client's hotel room. We had to push past the bellman, who was drooling over it, step past the concierge who wanted to hand deliver it himself, and barge pass the front desk to the house phone to ring up the lucky guest.

"Ohhh, ahhhh, wow," said the client. "This is beautiful and so thoughtful of Pamm," she exclaimed.

So, the next time you need to welcome a guest to your company, a friend to the beach or to simply butter up the boss... call the Tales by the Sea team and let us "fix you up!" 850-351-1980

If you want to bring your business, group or association to the beach...call Pamm at the Hilton: (504) 872-2113!

Must have, gotta get sandals!

Packing for a trip can be challenging. You know the drill...select a few outfits, find jewelry to match and then pack the shoes. And then you pack more shoes and more shoes.

Our new GOTTA GET sandals take the hassle out of packing. The metallic gold color goes with everything you will want to pack thus eliminating the need to pack tons of shoes. When it's time to get dressed, just "pop" the top off of the sandal and "pop" on any "topper" that will match what you are wearing. One pair of shoes...so many looks.

From flowers, shells, leopard or pink and gold accents, this is the perfect sandal. And did we mention comfy? Yes, we did, but it's worth mentioning again.

These are selling fast. Call Tales by the Sea to see if we have your size: 850-351-1980

Taking a bath has never been so fun! Each soap has its own FORTUNE tucked inside!

You will be bubbling over with excitement, when you slip into the tub and drop in a strawberries and champagne fortune cookie soap. Double the size of an edible fortune cookie, these swanky soaps are selling like mad.

Several fun combos are offered like caramel apple, chocolate dipped strawberry and oatmeal and honey. They sound good enough to eat...but don't!

Can't pick just one cookie? Then "order up" the little takeout box shown above. We'll stuff it Chinese style with 3 different fortune cookie soaps, making it into one fantastic and truly out-of-this-world gift pack. If you are looking for a present for the person that has everything (you know who you are!) we promise that they will not have this gift pack!

You can also feel good about giving this set away (not that you’d want to or anything…) because our soaps are all-freakin’-natural and we leave our all the junk that makes your skin filmy. One whiff and feel of these beauties and we promise that you will be purchasing your own gift pack!

Ingredient List: Purified Water, Glycerin, Sodium Stearate and Sodium Oleate, Sorbitol, Stearic Acid, Lauric Acid, Fragrance, Color – Yep our products are made of soap, and while we know it’s tempting, do not eat them please!
